Initial situation: Before tableau enablement

Even before the training cooperation with taod began, Tableau played a central role in the company's analysis work. The ability to use Tableau effectively is crucial across all levels of the company. Starting with production, through sales and purchasing, right up to the top management level. This underlines the need for a comprehensive training strategy. This should not only aim to provide basic knowledge for newcomers. Advanced techniques and applications for experienced users should also be taught.

The aim is to promote continuous skills development and thus fully exploit the analytical potential within the company. Through regular, targeted training measures, knowledge of Tableau will not only be updated, but also enriched with new functions and best practices. In this way, Vodafone aims to continuously expand data analysis capabilities throughout the company and raise them to a uniform, professional level.

Training history for Tableau at Vodafone

The training program at Vodafone begins with a basic module that teaches new employees the basics and specific terminology of Tableau. Participants are given a comprehensive overview of the tool's core functions, learn how to connect data sources, make initial calculations and take their first steps in creating map visualizations and dashboards. By working on a constructed case study, they deepen their knowledge and practise designing informative dashboards independently.

For employees with advanced knowledge of Tableau, the training modules are specifically designed to expand existing knowledge. Using case studies tailored to the needs of Vodafone, advanced analysis skills are trained. One focus is on the Level of Detail (LOD) functions, which allow users to capture complex data correlations with simple commands. The training also promotes an analytical mindset and encourages participants to use data creatively and confidently.

The inclusion of these specialized training offerings from taod in Vodafone's central training database ensures that all employees interested in data have access to these valuable learning resources at all times, which strengthens data analysis skills in the company in the long term.
